CSA Memberships & Weekly Vegetable Boxes
We will not be offering a CSA program for 2018 as we continue to deal with the serious illness in our immediate family. We thank you for your support and understanding.
We will be growing flowers once again in 2018! We have decided to plant several different colors and varieties of sunflowers. Farm fresh flowers will be available from late June until the Fall. Flowers will be available from the farmstand as fresh cut. They will also be available for sale to local florists and for weddings and events. About East Ridge Farms
East Ridge Farms began in 2013. After watching several documentaries about a) how most of the food we were consuming was over processed, full of chemicals, unnecessary additives and GMOs and b) how our current forms of mass scale agriculture are negatively affecting our planet and our health, we decided it was time for a change. East Ridge Farms was born out of a desire to know where our food was coming from and what was in it. It was also born out of a desire to reduce our carbon footprint and try to make some kind of responsible, difference in the world. We want to get our hands in the dirt... get back to the "roots" of what it means to grow food naturally and become more connected to the earth again. We hope to inspire others to do the same.
With no previous farming experience (other than growing up with parents who were avid vegetable garden growers) we are young, self taught, organic farmers with lots to learn... and so far the journey has been inspiring and enlightening! Our farm began as two 100' x 5' permanent raised bed rows of organic garlic planted in 2013 and expanded to 21 in 2016. It will keep expanding over the next couple of years. Once the whole farm is set up it will be about 1 acre... and will hopefully include some green houses, chickens, and bee hives!
We invite you to join us on our journey towards a healthier future!
